It has been just a few months since 2019 began and the year has brought some of the most popular trends yet. It seems like everyone you know has the newest clothes, shoes, or technology, and that’s because most students are up to date with the latest movements. From Airpods and Hydro Flasks, to high waisted jeans and Vans, these are just a few of the biggest trends the year has brought with it. Below, I will provide a list of some of the hottest trends of 2019 so far.

2019 Trends:

  • Vans shoes
  • Hydro Flask water bottles
  • Kånken backpacks
  • AirPods
  • Scrunchies
  • High Waisted Jeans
  • Plaid Pants
  • Tik Tok
  • Martins
  • Birkenstocks
  • Wildflower Phone Cases

I personally believe that this year has started off with some great styles and trends, excluding Tik Tok. Most of these trends are inexpensive and easy to find.

Sophomore Sruthilatha Sakthi Velavan said her favorite fashion piece so far are the plaid pants.

“Plaid pants are fun and make any outfit better looking and can make you look more put together,” Velavan said.

She also agreed with me that Tik Tok is a trend that needs to leave as soon as possible.

Sofia Southard, sophomore, said the best trends of this year so far are the hydro flasks and airpods.

“Airpods are great because they don’t have wires, so you can listen to music without teachers knowing,” Southard said.

I give a job well done to 2019 so far. Vans, hydro flasks, and scrunchies are things that I always have with me. These trends are stylish, fun, and decently inexpensive. What’s next, 2019?
