ZCHS has had an incredibly successful athletic year. The Girl’s Swimming and Diving team definitely contributes to the continued success in sports this season.

The Lady Eagles finished with a 16-17 season record, and are scheduled to compete in the State finals. Graduating multiple powerhouse seniors last year was not easy, but the Eagles have fought through and unearthed new power swimmers and divers for this incredibly successful season. Swimming and Diving, in the past, hasn’t seen a huge fan section. Maggi Smith, however, has been to a few meets and enjoys watching our Lady Eagles bring their high level of competition to the pool.

“I’ve been to a few swim meets with one of my friends, and it’s actually really fun to watch. It’s not the most action-packed sporting event I’ve been to, but it’s crazy how much strength and endurance swimmers need to compete in races. We’re really good, and so it’s fun to watch Zionsville win, no matter what sport,” Smith, junior, said.
